Is VR Right for Your Audience?

One question I get a lot is regarding audience fit and wondering who most enjoys or plays Virtual Reality. While the obvious answer is that I haven't met many people who don't love VR, there are certainly some groups who are more apt to play it and more likely to return.

Based on data from many facilities over several years, the top players are young adult men who are looking to shoot something in VR. Men are 3 times more likely to play than women and the group of players aged 18-30 are the largest target in arcades.

Based on the graph, you can see that a typical VR Arcade sees more adults playing than any other age group. There are a certainly discrepancies in this dataset since some parents will create their own account rather than sign directly for their under age child.

The other item to takeaway is that VR is very widely accepted by people of all ages. VR is very family friendly, kids birthday parties are a huge hit and so are corporate events. When you can offer people fun interaction and team play up through intense zombie shooters, all in one attraction, you are bound to get people of all types.

VR reaches a large demographic- and is a perfect fit in any type of Family Entertainment Center to both increase new traffic and keep a steady flow of returning customers!
